Our Team

Originally from the Lehigh Valley, Dr. Rother settled in the Cumberland Valley with his family and quickly became one of Central Pennsylvania’s leading dentists.  Within only a few years of practicing, Dr. Rother and his team garnered national, regional and local awards in patient care, customer service and leadership.  

In 2016, Dr. Rother was nationally recognized as a “Top 40 Dentist Under 40” by the Incisal Edge Magazine, a nation-wide industry publication.  Within a year after this recognition, Dr. Rother’s practice in Mechanicsburg, RotherDental, earned the award of, “Best New Dental Practice Construction,” also bestowed by the Incisal Edge.  Locally, Dr. Rother and his team was repeatedly recognized by Harrisburg Magazine as the area’s Best General Dentist, Best Customer Service, and Best Cosmetic Dentist.  Although our team enjoys being recognized for their commitment to each other, the practice and the community, Dr. Rother also strongly believes in progressing dentistry through organized dentistry.  In 2024, the Pennsylvania Dental Association identified Dr. Rother as a, “Top 10 under 10” Dentist in the state due to his commitment to improving Pennsylvania’s dental profession through volunteerism, continuing education and leadership.  While in Harrisburg, Dr. Rother served as both the President of the Harrisburg Area Dental Society, and it’s parent organization, the 5th District Dental Society.  Dr. Rother was most proud of leading continuing education seminars, providing scholarships to prospective dental professionals, and improving access to care for patients.

Prior to practicing dentistry, and after graduating from Parkland High School, Dr. Rother completed his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology at the Pennsylvania State University with a concentration in Vertebrate Physiology. While in State College, Dr. Rother was active with the Eberly College of Science Admissions Team, as well as serving as President of the Penn State Pre-Dental Society.  As President, Dr. Rother was most proud of leading a team of fellow Pre-Dental students to Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic, to volunteer at local dental clinics to help those in need of dental services.​

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Penn State, Dr. Rother enrolled in dental school at Temple University in Philadelphia. In addition to acquiring his clinical skills in general and advanced dental treatments, Dr. Rothermaintained membership in the American Student Dental Association and Xi Psi Phi Dental Fraternity. Dr. Rotherfinished his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in the spring of 2014, and proudly graduated Cum Laude.

While practicing in Central Pennsylvania, Dr. Rother prided himself on blending traditional patient-provider relationships with innovation and contemporary treatments.  Dr. Rother maintains that nothing provides him with more satisfaction than providing great dental care for great people.  His favorite treatments involve transforming a patient’s oral health, which always transforms their lives.  He is especially passionate about all aspects of dental aethetics, like Invisalign, BOTOX, veneers, and full mouth reconstruction.  However, he is also incredibly passionate about relieving patients’ dental pain related to TMJ disorders, dental traumas, but also through traditional dental treatments such as fillings, crowns, root canals and extractions.

Dr. Rother and his wife, Erin, are always looking for day trips and adventures to experience with their daughters, Leah, Elizabeth, and their Golden Retriever, Jedi.  Dr. Rother and his family especially love to travel to new and familiar destinations.  Despite the Rother’s love for both Penn State football and wrestling, skiing and golf, they receive their enjoyment and fulfillment with each other.  Whether it’s constructing legos, building puzzles, playing board games, or rocking out to their favorite music, Dr. Rother most looks forward to relaxing with his family.
